Neal Ackroyd was one of the first Bantams on the Internet, setting up his Bradford City site in the days of Mosaic and Netscape 3. He lives to lives just outside Southampton, the rear of the Ciba Stand, and the away end wherever City are playing.

Plenty to Chew Over at Valley Parade

As I left Upfront, I saw Chris Cooper and Derm Tanner huddled out of the wind near the North West Corner stand exits, chattering into mobile phones, relating the news back to their respective Sports News Desks. And then it struck me - just how far City had fallen. 14 months ago, there would have been whole teams of reporters, camera men, OB units, even fans outside VP. Today, one day before Christmas, were just two local reporters, shivering against the cold, reporting the news back via mobile phone.

Dark Christmas in Bantamland

There is the rumour that the squad is split between the Jim Jefferies camp and the Stuart McCall camp - well, the signs are there that any team spirit we did have (and until very recently, I believe there were still signs of team spirit) completely disappeared tonight. The McCall/Jefferies incident of last week certainly appears to be the catalyst that led to the situation we are now in.
