"I was a teenage Bantam..."

These days its rare for a man to play for the club he supported as a boy. However in recent years there are one or two...

City fans who became City players

Mark Bower

Centreback who Nicky Law brought into the team in 2002. Admits to Stuart McCall being his favourite player when he was a kid and admiring Dean Richards from the stands.

Dean Richards

Although a Liverpool fan at school Dean was known to take in a few games at Valley Parade when he was younger.

Danny Cadamarteri

A boyhood Arsenal fan who did attend some games at Valley Parade when he was growing up.

Danny Forrest

City youngster who is reported to be a "Mad keen Bantam". Made his league debut agianst Ipswich Town in 2003 and scored. Did he like it? He loved it!

City players who stayed City fans

Andrew O'Brien

Since he left for Newcastle United and the top of the Premiership Andy O'Brien has been spotted sitting aside the common man watching the Bantams a number of times.

Dean Windass

Left for Middlebrough with the best wishes of most City fans. Came to a Valley Parade game and sat amongst the fans. Amusingly he was with his young son who was wearing a Bantam's home shirt with 10 Carbone on the back! [Thanks: Mark Hucks]

What about...?

Who have we forgotten? If you know a City player past or present who has been missed off this list mail us with a couple of lines.
