Richmond Returns to Valley Parade

Good to be back?

The sixteen players that City sacked have been invited to rejoin the Bantams. This is BfB's brief guide to who is welcome back, and who we could have done without.

Gary Walsh

Most City fans will be glad to see the excellent, if injury prone goalie back at Valley Parade. When fit Walsh is quality and provided he can do a deal that reflects the fact that he does not play full seasons I doubt anyone will have a quarrel with his return.

Peter Atherton

Peter Atherton has put in around three good games for City and gets paid a stupid amount of money. He is one of the players that guided us out of the Premiership. Offers little but takes lots. Many City fans will join me in a groan to see Peter Atherton back at Valley Parade.

Andy Myers

Opinions are split on Myers. Some thing he is a fine player, player of the season indeed. I think he looks good in a team in the bottom of the First Division and even then does not look that good. He moans too, and he once had a fight with Stuart McCall. Andy Myers? No thanks.

David Wetherall

City's skipper and one day manager. Glad to see him back.

Jamie Lawrence

Good old Jamie. He does not ask too much in the pocket and gives 100%. He may not be the best player to ever wear the shirt but few have ever given more and it warms the heart to see him back.

Ashley Ward

No thanks.

Benito Carbone

Superb player but no one is worth £40,000 a week. Sorry Beni, you are too expensive. Either drop your price or don't unpack your bags.

Eoin Jess

The enigma. Sometimes great, other times poor. Too often poor and will always remind us of bad times. It would be around 60:40 but I do not believe City fans want him back.

Robert Molenaar

Lumbering Sparky from Holland. No class, too old and too slow. I'd rather not see my club pay him precious cash.

Gary Locke

A half decent player who could blossom under Nicky Law away from the paternal instincts of Jim Jefferies. Could be his season.

Aidan Davison

We all prefer Alan Combe.

Claus Jorgensen

The prospect of the bunch and one I cannot wait to see next season. Looks like he could be a real performer at this level. Hopefully the 3-0 pasting of his nation will not have effected him too much.

Wayne Jacobs

Great to see Wayne back.

Juanjo

Nada! No Queiro Juanjo. Vas a Kilmarnock con Juan Jefferies por favor.

Andy Tod

Nah! We dinne want Andy Tod. Gan to Kilmarnock wi' Jim Jefferies please.

Danny Cadamarteri

One of Nicky Law's men so obviously one that we wanted back. Will have to improve on his strike rate though.
