City let a commanding 2-1 lead slip to a late goal on the final game of the Irish tour at Portadown.
After Eoin Jess had given the Bantams a lead on 15 minutes City were pegged back after a Molenaar mistake let in Gary Hamilton to score. Robbie Blake put City back in the lead before half time after good work by Lee Sharpe by a late equaliser by Mark Hamilton robbed the Bantams of a victory that should have been secured as chances went begging for Michel Evans, Claus Jorgensen and David Wetherall.
However, Wetherall's involvement for the full 90 minutes bodes well for the Bantams as does the form of Robbie Blake and Ashley Ward on the tour. Michel Evans will worry that his failure to score may cost him a deal at City while Lee Makel, who did notch a goal, may find that the illness that saw him play only the first game of the tour may cost him dear.
City return on Tuesday to play Blackburn on Saturday with Benito Carbone ready to rejoin the squad.
