Report for December 2001

Hall of fame

Chris Waddle

His time at Valley Parade was brief and for most of it City were in the bottom three of the first division but a trip to Goodison Park and a long range effort have seen Chris Waddle into the BfB Bradford City Hall of Fame.

Employee of the month

Robbie Blake

City have gone from average to worse this month, but Robbie Blake's displays continue to impress as he races back to the best form of his career.

Goal of the month

Ward's finish to the move at home to Sheffield United

City purred down the left flank. Lee Sharpe and Robbie Blake found a touchline bound Wayne JAcobs who delivered an inch perfect short cross for Ashley Ward.

On-field positive

Despite Jim Jefferies leaving the team still plays as well as it ever has.

On-field negative

The line of midfielders in front of the backline is paper thin without Stuart McCall. Not a problem now he is back but at 37 how long will be be there?

Off-field positive

We never, ever have to take up two valuable hours of Jim Jefferies Saturday afternoons and now have a manager who seems keen to do the job.

Off-field negative

Jefferies leaving is a blow. He is a very good manager and brought a great many things to the job, however he did not bring his heart from Hearts and so was always going to fail.

Funny

Ashley Ward's miss at Coventry, a pretty clear signal as to what he thought of the outgoing manager.

Not funny

Juanjo's "sush" to the City fans who had paid good money and time to get down to Coventry City away to see the team beaten 4-0.
