Championship Manager Bantams
Championship Manager 4 is out and BfB is launching it's own discussion list for Bantams fans who play the game to swap tips and tactics. To talk about who to buy and who is better than they should be and to trade talk on how they got rid of Ashley Ward.
First impressions on playing City
Half a season of Nicky Law's job is enough to see why the boss has no hair. Money is too tight to buy anyone and no one wants to take Ashley Ward off your hands. Here are a few notes on playing City...
- You need a number two. Ian Banks is not there so you need to get a good right hand man. I got Chris Kamara. No comment.
- If you go to Sheffield United and keep bidding £0 up front and some back end payments for Stuart McCall they will give you him. Tom Kearney is worth a starting place if you cannot get McCall.
- As strange as it sounds a Danny Cadamarteri/Ashley Ward partnership is probably the way to go although both Danny Forrest and Andy Gray are useful. Gray makes a poor winger.
- City are blessed with good centrebacks. A Robert Molenaar/David Wetherall/Mark Bower trio made City hard to beat.
- Paul Reid seems disproportionably good (Although perhaps not after Burnley) and if you can bare having him in over Claus Jorgensen do. Paul Evans is a good player to have in owing to his 20 in determination.
- Simon Francis is not as good as he is in real life.
- Bosko Balaban from Aston Villa makes a good loan signing when Cadamarteri gets injured.
