Report for November 2001

Hall of fame

John Hendrie

Players come and players go, but there is only one John Hendrie and BfB readers have added him to the BfB Bradford City Hall of Fame.

Employee of the month

Robbie Blake

When Robbie Blake trudged down the tunnel after being taken off for Juanjo who sealed that 2-0 win over Walsall the cheers for the Spaniard's strike must have run in the City striker's ears and thought so time cooling his heels in the reserves sprung to mind. However this year's Blake is here to last and Robbie pulled up his socks and started to score again with two at Norwich and a stunner at Preston.

Goal of the month

Blake's 25 yarder against Preston

A ball tucked into Robbie Blake who stumbles, turn, moves across his marker and fires into the far top corner from outside the box.

On-field positive

Things are back on track with Jim Jefferies 442 formation.

On-field negative

The move from the 433 formation and loss of the likes of Benito Carbone and David Wetherall has left City looking less special that the team that terrorised at the start of the season.

Off-field positive

Talks for Premiership Two started, and we are in them.

Off-field negative

David Wetherall's continued being off of the field in a problem.

Funny

The Norwich City top of the league party that fell kind of flat when we beat them 4-1.

Not funny

The virus that the webmaster of certain City captain's web site sent to BfB towers putting our brand spanking new machine out of action.
